Recipe Instructions
Step 1
Measure out your heated phase ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Shea Butter, Beeswax. In a separate glass beaker measure out your cool down phase ingredients.
Step 2
Combine your heated phase ingredients in a heatproof container and melt over low heat in a bain-marie or double boiler to 70 degrees Celcius. Once all the heated phase ingredients have melted give it a little mix to combine them and remove from the heat. Keep mixing and wait until the mixture has cooled down to 40 degrees celcius.
Step 3
Once cooled to 40 degrees, at this point, add in your cool down ingredients: Vitamin E oil and Yarrow Pom essential oil.
Step 4
Keep mixing thouroughly with a blender as the mixture cools down until a trace forms. Once a trace forms and you pour the mixture into a jar.
Step 5
Leave it to set either in the refrigerator or at room temperature for a minimum of 12 hours.
After 12 hours check the PH of your balm. It should be between 5-7.
