Sunny Turmeric Latte

Updated: Jul 14, 2021

You may have heard all about the Golden Milk buzz that's been around during the past few years. This Sunny Turmeric Latte recipe is based on the recipe but with an essential oily twist of DoTerra turmeric oil.

It's so delicious and spicy and so so warming especially during the winter months. I just can't get enough of it. Turmeric itself Is a key botanical of the traditional Ayurvedic health practices of India, turmeric root and turmeric essential oil have a long history.

  • 1 can coconut milk

  • 1 cup oat milk (or any milk you like)

  • ½–1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup (to sweeten)

  • 1–2 drops of Turmeric essential oil

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric

  • Pinch of ground nutmeg

  • 1 toothpick of Cardamom essential oil or a pinch of ground Cardamom

  • 1 toothpick of Black Pepper essential oil or a pinch of Black Pepper

  • Ground cinnamon for garnish

  1. In a small saucepan, combine the coconut milk, almond milk, honey and spices.

  2. Whisk together and bring ingredients to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 3–5 minutes to reduce the mixture a bit. Stir occasionally.

  3. Remove the saucepan from direct heat. Add the Turmeric essential oil and the toothpick swirl of Cardamom and Black Pepper essential oils. Stir the ingredients.

  4. Pour the mixture into two small mugs and then sprinkle a little bit of turmeric on top. Enjoy!

Health benefits of Turmeric Essential oil (Curcuma Longa L )

Turmeric essential oil has two unique chemical components, Turmerone and ar-Turmerone.
Most commonly known for its emotional benefits, promoting feelings of positivity.
As well, Turmeric can help to promote clear, smooth, and radiant-looking skin.

Oil Safety

For all my cooking recipes I only recommend using Do-Terra oils as it is tested and approved for internal use. If you don’t have the oil you can always use simple turmeric powder or if you can find it fresh turmeric root.

Possible skin sensitivity. Keep out of reach of children. If you are pregnant, nursing, or under a doctor’s care, consult your physician. Avoid contact with eyes, inner ears, and sensitive areas.
