What is balance for you?

Balance for me is when I can wake up run through my day’s tasks and jobs without being pulled too hard in any direction.

Why do we need balance?

We all know maintaining a balanced life is important for your personal health and well-being. Recently I spoke to a friend who mentioned how hard it is to juggle work, home and family, oh and don’t forget self-care when you are at home all the time. There are no clear boundaries, you’re working and then remember oh I need to put the laundry on. Covid and all these restrictions have really thrown many of us out of our usual life balance. Essentially this means we need to form new habits which is not easy.

Finding balance today

For myself, I feel more successful in tackling one change at a time. I like to tag changes onto tasks I already do every day. Here are a few ideas:

Emotional - Let go of negative feelings and stress. Stop/Pause. Do something nice for yourself (meditate or have a tea) and come back to it.

Environmental - Spend time outside and ground yourself.

Financial - These days money can be tight. Maybe re-work or tidy up your budget for a little less stress.

Intellectual - Learn something new or read even just 1 page a day.

Physical - Just listen to your body so what it needs. Sleep, exercise and sleep.

Social -Now this difficult these days, but maybe we can re-connect with people close to you or to take part in online classes.

Spiritual - Explore your mind, passions and hobbies BALANCING OILS & BLENDS

  • Bergamot -reduces feelings of stress.

  • Cedarwood- grounding oil that can promote emotional balance.

  • Clary Sage -one of the most relaxing oils also said to be good for balancing hormones.

  1. Balance Diffuser Blend: 2 drops of Bergamot, 2 drops of Clary Sage, 1 drop of Cedarwood.

  2. Balance roller blend (10ml) 5% : (10 drops total of EO) 3 drops of Cedarwood, 3 drops of Bergamot, 4 drops of Clary Sage.


Bergamot essential oil can make your skin more sensitive to sunlight. Use a sunscreen or stay away from the sun for 8 hours.
