Which beads diffuse essential oils?

Updated: Jul 13, 2021

I started this project by just making mala bracelets then I discovered there are certain beads that absorb and diffuse essential oils! I was blown away by it and got more into aromatherapy and designing not only beautiful jewellery but also practical jewellery

It should be called well-being jewellery! So today I want to share with you which beads can diffuse these magical essential oils into our lives.

Lava Beads 🌋

Now, these are ideally the best as the pitted, porous surface of lava rock is perfect for essential oil diffusing.

People started using Lava a long time ago to balance emotions, as well as bring calmness and strength.

Sandalwood Beads

If you prefer the wooden beads you can also use raw sandalwood beads, they don’t retain the oils a well as lava beads but they still diffuse them. You can put a few drops of Lavender or Jasmine for relaxation or Bergamot or Grapefruit for a more sweet uplifting scent. They all blend nicely with the natural sandalwood aroma of the beads. If you’ve never smelt sandalwood beads before trust me they are really addictive.

Rudraksha Beads 🌱

These beads have a rich history, It is a seed that is used as a prayer bead in Hinduism. They are popularly used for Malas as rosaries and meditation purposes. So if you plan to buy a Mala necklace and would like to use oils on it, I recommend rudraksha beads.
