About the Formula

This nourishing body butter has an aromatherapeutic energising herbaceous scent. When you apply it to the fluffy silky foam melts and turns into an oil. It deeply regenerates and nourishes the skin, leaving it smooth, soft and supple.

What you need

Equipment

  • Glass Beakers

  • Glass Bowl

  • Kitchen Whisk

  • Spatula

  • Thermometer

  • PH Strips

  • Scales

  • 100ml Glass Jar

Heated Stage

  • 25 grams Mango Butter

  • 32.5 grams Coco Butter

  • 40 grams Jojoba Oil

Cool Down Stage

  • 0.5 grams Bergamot essential oil

  • 0.5 grams Rosemary essential oil

  • 1.5 grams Vitamin E Oil (Antioxidant)

Preparation

Step 1

Over a bain-marie melt the Mango butter, Cocoa butter and Jojoba oil and mix throughly.

Step 2

Once everything is melted remove from the heat and wait until the butter and oil liquid has cooled to down to 40 degrees celcius. At this stage add your essential oils and Vitamin E and mix.

Step 3

Place the cooled mixture in the freezer for around 20-30 mins. Check on it every 10 minutes or so, when the mixture is soft to touch ( not liquid or hard) remove from the freezer.

Step 4

Now you can start to whisk for a few minutes until it starts to become creamy. Just like when you whisk butter and sugar together. You will find on this first whisk the mixture will still be very creamy. Now you need to put it back into the freezer for another 10-15 mins. You don't want it to get too hard or you won't be able to whisk it.

Step 5

Remove from the freezer and whisk it again. Repeat the process until you get your desired body butter texture. I usually only need to do this 2 times.

Step 6

Use a spatular to scrap and scoop your new luscious body butter into a glass jar and don't for get to label it with one of our pretty free sticker labels.
